The Beaumont Consultancy

I am pleased to provide a reference for William Dick of Beaumont Consultancy from the perspectives of my personal dealings with him in the context of his role in Project Management Cost Management Services. During my time as Controller (CEO ) of the RAF Benevolent Fund (the Royal Air Force’s largest Welfare charity) I undertook a major renovation project to make the Fund Headquarters in Portland Place, London, fit for purpose. This was a complex 5 year, £6 million pound project and a difficult one by virtue of its Listed status (Grade II*) and its position within a major conservation area.

William Dick headed up the team that provided Project and Cost Management Services from the outset, from feasibility studies through to the planning, detailed design and construction stages. In addition he was the key player in assembling the design team which included other consultants and provided the critical advice and guidance through a complex maze of issues leading to a very successful outcome delivered on time and well within budget. 67 Portland Place Is now a highly acclaimed and fit for purpose Fund Headquarters whilst retaining all of the grandeur associated with an 18th Century building that has had its many heritage features restored and enhanced whilst being modernised to 21st Century standards.

William Dick was selected to work with us because of his reputation and that of his Consultancy partnership for delivering on time and on budget. In these respects the Trustees of the Fund were delighted that all aspects and aims of the Project were fully met. William was fully engaged at all times throughout the 5 years and indeed he became a close ally and adviser, totally trustworthy. balanced In his advice and guidance and able to foresee problems and identify solutions. He built exceptionally close relationships both with my executive team and with other consultants and contractors.

He subsequently worked with my team on other projects, including the extension of the Fund Nursing home in West Sussex and the provision of Play parks and sports areas on over 25 RAF Stations throughout the UK. On a personal level William Dick Is a consummate professional in all respects who is able to compliment his skills with an amiable personality which made all of our project meetings uncomplicated, open and enjoyable. In sum I have been hugely impressed by William Dick, he is a true master of his trade and a man who can be trusted totally. He brings a great deal to the table and I have no hesitation in recommending him to any organisation or individual that is considering engaging his services.
